Mission Trip to Grand Rapids Michigan in June

Posted: January 3, 2012 by DeacL in Youth

Abundant with the waters of the Grand River, located near Lake Michigan, and home to many lakes in-between, the variety of recreation and scenery around Grand Rapids is as vast as the projects that you’ll be a part of. In a city that preserves historic homes and covered bridges and relishes in a history of its Native American ancestors, maritime traditions and furniture-making legacy, you’ll get to be part of a grand tradition for it’s current residents. And, although Grand Rapids stands as Michigan’s second largest city and is host to numerous cultural and industrial interests, it also plays host to many of the issues that confront big cities across the United States. Your service will inspire hope and bring Christ’s love to the elderly, children and individuals in need in this grand city. Watch for more information. Call Pastor Tim for details.  Week of Hope Brochure.

Pre-New Years Eve Bash!!

Posted: November 23, 2011 by pt1983 in Uncategorized

This year we will be, for the first time ever, attending the McHenry County Pre-New Year’s Eve Bash.  This is an over night event that begins at 10pm on Dec. 30th and ends at 6am on Dec. 31st.  Students who wish to attend need to register at the event website http://www.pnyebash.com.  The event is $35 if registered by Dec. 2nd, and $45 after that.  Hurry up to register to save money, as well as the fact that this event fills up fast.  There will be a variety of activities from broomball, rock wall climbing, Zombie, and much more.  We will end at the Brunswick Zone in Algonquin (1611 S. Randall Road Algonquin, IL 60102.)  If you have any questions, or want more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Pastor Tim.

On December 18th, starting at 6 p.m. P.T. and Rose will be hosting the youth groups from St. John’s Lutheran Union and Immanuel Lutheran Crystal Lake for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Christmas Party!!  There will be a white elephant gift exchange as well.  We are asking that if your last name begins with an A-M that you bring drinks to share, and if your last name begins with a N-Z that you bring snacks to share.  We will provide the main course (pizza?!?)  If you have any questions, comments, or want to RSVP, contact P.T. at (815)980-2538 or pastortims@sbcglobal.net.  The hunt for the best of the ugliest sweaters is officially on!!!!
